Kristin duCharme was raised in upstate New York among,
a very creative and supportive family. She moved to
Los Angeles to study at Otis/Parsons Art Institute and graduated
with a fine arts degree 1989.
Kristin has extensive experience working as a painter, sculptor, designer and is accomplished in a variety of media. She finds glass very inspiring and enjoys the challenge of combining her traditional art background with the ancient method of glass fusing. Kristin has developed her command of glass into a line of jewelry and small sculptures as well as a fresh medium for her conceptual fine art work. Her recent attraction to metal work emerges as an intriguing juxtaposition between glass, fluid and fragile and steel, stable and strong.
