Robyn Feeley  ::  Mixed Media

One look at the portfolio of artist Robyn Feeley and you may be asking "Why paint animals?" Robyn's response would most likely be "Why not?" Inspired by the raw beauty and unconditional love that emanates from the animals, her whimsical pastel portraits truly capture the essence of each animal. This self-taught artist has an uncommon approach to her work. Her ability to think outside the box allows her artwork to be free and quite fluid. Robyn has developed a style that is truly unique. Her rich, vivid, whimsical portraits are all painted by hand. Her use of colour and her ability to blend the many layers of pastel give these portraits the depth she strives to achieve. Working from photographs and personality descriptions, Robyn has been delighting her clients from New York to Los Angeles since 2003. Robyn frequently donates to various animal rescue organizations including the "Nature of Wildworks" wildlife sanctuary and education program nestled in the canyon. An upcoming show titled "Silent Witness" will feature hand coloured photography from Auschwitz and Birkeau, black and white photography of our homeless plight and a new series of pastel portraits from the endangered species list from WWF. Robyn shares her home with her son Max, 3 rescue dogs and a miniature, not so miniature pot belly pig named Frank.
