"There are no rules in art", this is the mantra of artis Sara Cron who brings a passion for color and a wry sense of humor to her eclectic work. Sara is an admitted, "image pack rat" who has, what some have called, an obsession for retro images.
"When I was a teenager, I was in love with the Partridge Family Bus," Sara freely admits, "because of the brilliant colors." Using acrylics, she mixes all of her own shades to create her own vivid palette that is decidedly fun and upbeat. "It’s hard to be depressed around my work," says Sara, whose house and wardrobe are as colorful as her art.
Sara has been a featured artist at the Ten Women Gallery in Santa Monica for the past ten years. Her work has been purchased buy set designers, as well as being featured in the L.A. County Museum of Art Gift Shop. Her work has also appeared on many TV shows including being featured on the KTLA Morning show.
Sara has been painting and creating her unique canvases and glass art for 15 years. Sara has a degree form UCLA and also studied at the College of Art and Design, Los Angeles. When she is not working, she is tending to her two children while her husband tends to her.
